Nuno Abreu (Portugal, 1988) is an artistic programmer, writer and researcher who works in and out of Portugal. He holds a degree in Philosophy and is a post-graduated in African Studies from Porto University and Bilkent University. Abreu has been invited and completed the Social Entrepreneurship Programme at INSEAD, Paris (2019) after been awarded the 2nd place in the category of Circular Economy at the Social Innovation Tournment promoted by the European Investment Bank, with the project Zouri Shoes. Abreu is a grantee of the Cultural National Center (2019) for his research in Western Sahara and has received several awards in the areas of music and literature.

His work explores the development of educational and cultural policies in Non-Self Governing Territories in post-disaster territories. In 2019, he began developing an international cooperation project between the city of Braga (Media Arts UNESCO Creative City) and the Refugee Camps of Western Sahara in order to promote artistic activities between the two regions.
