Merve Çağlar

Merve Çağlar is a institution builder and strategic advisor working at the intersection of the arts and civic society. From 2021 to 2026, she served as Founding Director of the Switzerland-based Vuslat Foundation, where she led awareness initiatives, academic research, and public programs advancing the practice of Generous Listening—an approach grounded in inclusivity, social cohesion, and the cultivation of authentic relationships. From 2011 to 2017, she was Founding Director of SAHA Association, established to support the production and professional development of artists, curators, and writers working in the field of visual arts in Türkiye, and to strengthen their engagement with international art institutions and networks.
Çağlar is a member of the Advisory Board of the Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University. She is currently engaged in the development of a new multidisciplinary art space in Istanbul, while continuing to support a range of institutions, artists, and collectors in developing and implementing their strategic vision.
