Beta-Local was awarded the 2022 Art Space Grant, a collaboration between KADIST and AFIELD.
Beta-Local is a non-profit organization based in Puerto Rico dedicated to supporting and promoting aesthetic thought and practices through intertwined programs: Laboratorio de investigación artística-histórica, a research and production program for artists and other cultural agents; and a residency program for local artists, curators, thinkers, and makers, to develop projects, workshops, and lectures. They also plan to reopen their library to the public, launch a new editorial project, and begin Máquina simple, a new grant for Puerto Rican visual artists.
