AFIELD at Dhaka Art Summit

Join us to celebrate the sixth edition of Dhaka Art Summit 2023!

This year’s theme is বন্যা/Bonna, meaning both “flood” & a common name for girls in Bangladesh. It examines the multiplicity of meanings around weather and water through the lens of Bangladeshis, as both life givers – bringing regeneration and renewal – and takers. Within the context of DAS, Bonna has become a concept to challenge binaries – between necessity & excess, regeneration & disaster, adult & child, male & female.
